As the monsoon rains loom, the upwardly mobile Verma family reunites from around the globe for a last-minute arranged marriage in modern New Delhi where the bride-to-be will meet her husband, a young Indian professional from Texas, for the very first time. But as the preparations get underway, conflict and scandal simmer beneath the surface, threatening to throw the festivities into chaos.

The relentless summer heat mirrors the story's building intensity, as the city anticipates the cooling torrent of the monsoons. When the rain eventually comes, it brings with it romance, revelation and liberation.
