This Film as Text explores Sarah Watt's Look Both Ways (2005), which looks at human attempts to cope with loss, death and suffering and a way to deal with life's randomness. It is also a moving meditation on humanity and the search for love and happiness. Watt eschews traditional notions of plot and character in favour of an original narrative structure, complex poetics, engaging poetics, and also uses animation.
