Schwartz examines the need to reinvent the media classroom in light of the overwhelming evidence of the growth of new media and communication technologies. His article provides the discussion of interdisciplinary studies, the broad church of Media Studies, and examines government and corporate strategies since the introduction of the Cross Media and foreign Ownership restrictions were introduced in 1987. Schwartz also explores the new media paradigms such as teaching (the limits of) new technologies and ethical considerations in media reporting.
