Primary Publishers: Children as Producers of Media Texts

One key aspect of digital learning where teachers, including primary school teachers, will need to assist students is the reading and creation of websites. The lesson ideas contained in this article were used in a Year 4 classroom. The lessons, delivered by a Media teacher as part of the Queensland University of Technology's URLearning project, emphasised the scaffolding of basic computer skills a student would need to create their own website using the iWeb program on a MacBook.
