Juxtaposing the human suffering and brutal bureaucracy of a Christmas Island detention centre with the perpetual cycles of the surrounding environment, Gabrielle Brady's film is an unusually poetic documentary representation of Australia's refugee policies. As Anders Furze finds, it is a work that is as evocative as it is intimate.
