Fell is a visually arresting, impressionistic story of a father's grief following his daughter's death, and depicts the desire for revenge that is bred by knowing who is responsible. But in favouring aesthetics and affect over exposition and character development, the film falls short of credibly chronicling the protagonist's path to acceptance, writes James Robert Douglas.
