Boris Trbic looks at Michael Winterbottom's The Road to Guantanamo (2006), a docu-drama co-directed with Matt Whitecross that examines the ordeal of four British Muslims stranded in a bitterly divided Afghanistan, wrongly accused of terrorism and transported to Guantanamo Bay. Trbic covers the political nature of the film, its portrayal of young British Muslims, its exposition of the absurdity of the War on Terror and its re-enactment of the war in Iran.
