GP' and 'The X-Files' Bring the Internet to Popular Television

This article explores the way two recently (at the time of writing in 1996) screened episodes of the popular television programs GP and The X-Files contribute to the shaping of the cultural meanings surrounding computer use and the popularisation of cultural practices associated with computer-mediated communication.
