These brave and fundamentally wise people are the focus of Daniel Mansour's moving and insightful short documentary The Final Word. Ultimately, this is both a confronting and an uplifting tale that looks at what matters most in life, viewed through the eyes of those who know they are dying. The Final Word provides us with a unique cause for reflection, too: if we were at death's door, how would we view the world and our place in it? What would matter most to us? We will be looking at and listening to our four individuals as they recount their struggles and triumphs, and although this seems a somber and depressing subject matter, The Final Word delivers some surprisingly joyful and unexpected revelations as Kylie, George, Debra and Paul look back on life and consider their 'final words'.
