Enter the dramatic and dangerous world of Australias most vital and dangerous pursuit Mining. As an ill-matched team strive to save an aging but proud Australian mining company, they must overcome their own prejudice and fears while facing life-changing situations for themselves and those around them. The six-part drama series Dirt Game screened on ABC1 in 2009.

From dark tunnels deep underground and the vast expanse of the Australian desert, to the slick corporate world of London, Dirt Game delves into the lives of the passionate men and women working in this tough business, where one wrong move, either in the pit or in the boardroom, could be your last.

Amidst the ongoing economic crisis, when UK oil-executive Brian Jardine (Gerard Lepkowski) is made CEO of a crippled Australian mining subsidiary (CCR) his brief from his London board is clear: make it profitable or wind it up.

With only six months to turn CCRs fortunes around, Brian hires geologist Megan Kerr (Freya Stafford) to head up a crisis management team that includes engineer Max Mees (Shane Connor); unionist Shane Bevic (Joel Edgerton); and environmental activist Caz Cohen (Katie Wall). As they struggle to save CCR, they face massive debt, safety problems, social issues, union unrest and a secretive, faction-torn UK board that threatens to bring the whole company down.
