The day Steve Kelly (Marcus Pointon) got on a bull called Black Friday at the national championships, his life was destined to take a turn for the worse. Bucked, bruised and wheelchair-bound, he faces a dark existence of doubt and infernal bitterness.

Down but not out, his journey of recovery and dogged determination to revisit his past and conquer his demons is the stuff of legend. The only thing that stands in his way is his rocky relationship with estranged wife Dannii (Jordanna Allen) and headstrong daughter Katie (Cassandra Ryan).
