This is the story of a young woman's search for love, a search to uncover the mysteries of the past and their role in determining her future. As the community around her faces the realities of economic change, Steph learns that fear and loss can limit your life – but only if you let them. Peaches is about daring to live a bigger life.

Set in two time frames in the river town of Swanreach, Peaches tells the story of Stephanie (Emma Lung; Garage Days). Having survived the freak accident that killed her parents, Steph has been raised by her caring but life worn guardian, Jude (Jacqueline McKenzie; Romper Stomper, The 4400). But on her birthday her life is changed in two important ways: she starts work under the watchful eyes of Alan (Hugo Weaving; Proof, The Interview) on the peach sorting line in the local cannery, and she is given her late mother's diary.

Peaches is about the legacy one generation leaves to another. It's the second film from Craig Monahan, Australia's award-winning writer and director of The Interview.
