The founder of permaculture, environmentalist Bill Mollison has spread his strategies for sustainable living across the globe. His innovative and practical system has been of enormous assistance to developing countries in particular as it focuses on empowering local communities and avoiding traditional bureaucracies. In this interview, he discusses his vision, his early working life at sea and in the bush, and the tough upbringing that turned him into a fighter.
