Inside Texts, a new teacher resource from VATE, has been developed to support the teaching of the new Unit 4 Area of Study 1: Reading and comparing texts in the VCE English Study Design 2017-2020. This Inside Texts study guide has been written by Warren Whitney, a highly experienced VCE English educator and contents include: introductory notes, text features, ideas, issues and themes, making meaningful connections, comparison of features, comparison of ideas, issues and themes, key passages for close study, keys quotes, comparing through listening and speaking activities in the classroom, comparing through writing activities, planning a comparative response, comparative essay topics.
