Mixing Media: Microsoft Movie Maker, Montage and War Poetry in the English Classroom

In this article aimed at senior secondary students, Bentley defines a montage sequence, and provides analytical tools for the discussion of montage sequence in Bowling for Columbine. He briefly discusses different forms of cinematic transition and shot types and proceeds to deconstruct a sequence from Moore's film. Then, he describes the creating of a war montage sequence using Movie Maker in class.
