Asylum: Documentaries, Contexts and Identities

This article looks at the political and artistic agendas of four documentaries on asylum seekers in Australia: 'Molly and Mobarak', 'Seeking Asylum', Tales from a Suitcase: The Afghan Experience' and 'Anthem', and concludes that artists and film-makers are using the documentary form to tell stories and make points that would otherwise be lost in the current politcal climate.
