Anastasia (ATOM Study Guide)

Anastasia is an animated feature film based upon a true story about the last Tsar and Tsarina of Russia and the legend of the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nicholaevna. There are scenes depicting aspects of Imperial Russia and the Russian revolution along with Paris in the 1920s. This twentieth-century fairy tale combines action, comedy, romance and music to tell the story of the fabled lost Russian princess, the last surviving member of the Romanov family.

While the study guide is written for primary students aged 6–12, the film's audience is covers all ages 6+. The film could help develop a range of learning outcomes across Key Learning Areas. However, this guide focuses on English – a curriculum profile for Australian schools.
